Jenna Fischer's most well-known part is as Pam Beesly in the highly popular television series The Office. Fischer was awarded two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her stellar performance on the comedy's ensemble.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but her family was primarily from St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna's mother Anne often performed in dramas at church as a child, and this instilled an passion for theater.
Fischer was a stage actress in her own country. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. In the Old Globe Theatre's premiere, she played opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's absurdist comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office's Angela Kinsey (the cast mate of Fischer) and her actual best friend, Angela Kinsey from The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and has landed in the Top Ten every single week. In its initial year, it had over 200 million downloads. In January 2021, Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She's written two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her experience in Hollywood as an actor in the field and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who Were There, a memoir of the best friendships they enjoyed as well as their experience watching The Office.
