Katherine Heigl admits that she grew up in a white bubble and how that influenced the way she raised adopted, multiracial kids. In an interview, she said recent interview that, with regards to skin colour there is no difference. However, after talking to her sister, who was adopted by South Korea she realized just the way society views people of different races. "I inquired of my sister, Meg whether she'd received the same treatment while walking around with our parents and in a different manner when she went out by herself without them. Meg replied "Oh yes! All the times!" It made me realize I was so ignorant," Heigl said to parents. According to the actor she grew furious. She wanted to channel her anger into aiding her adopted daughters. Heigl and her husband of 13 years -- singer Josh Kelley -- have an infant son, aged 4 years old.
