Kathie Lee Gifford, along with Hoda KOTB, was hosting the 4th hour of TODAY since 2008 until 5th April 2019. Entertainment Weekly called the Gifford-Kotb Hour an appointment television show as well as USA Today labeled TODAY Happy Hour. In 2014, Gifford penned the critically acclaimed TODAY the Musical, which featured the host and cast of the show. Each month she composed an original song for the show's popular program Everyone Has a Story. In 2015, she was inducted into the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame. Gifford was a 15-year veteran hosting Live with Regis & Kathie, for which she earned 11 Emmy Awards. She also served as the correspondent of Good Morning America for three years. Gifford was a performer as well as an actress, playwright and actor in her 40-year career. Her own label of record is owned by her and she has composed a number of musicals.
