Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1960 Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej (now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to get a flawless score of 10 in an Olympic competition. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci at just 6 years old. In 1969, she participated in the Romanian Junior Championships which she finished 13th. She took home the trophy in 1970. She was awarded three golds during her first competition which was a junior Olympic meet in 1972 that was held by communist-friendly countries. In 1973 and 1974she won the junior all-around champion. She defeated the Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva who was the five-time European Champion in her first senior international competition held in the year 1975. She won four golds and a silver. In 1976, she was the first female performer to make the reverse double salo of the uneven parallel bar as part of her dismount. She was the winner of the American Cup, held in New York City. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she started appearing on travel shows like Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol first began her acting career when she was in her teens. When she was a child she was Figure Skating Performer alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. The show featured dramatized ice skating shows.
