Her birth date is March 29, 1985 in Roswell in New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her name. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico to Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. Her parents are of Mexican heritage, but is American with a US national. Gerina has always been an avid sportsperson. Gerina began to play golf at the age of fifteen. Gerina completed her secondary schooling during her time at Goddard High School. In high school she won the New Mexico state golf championship. She was also an athlete in volleyball who played on the level of state. She was enrolled at Texas's University of Texas, Texas in 2003. She won all of the tournaments she played in during her senior year. In her undergraduate time, she was awarded as the conference's best player of year as well as UTEP Female Athletic of Year.
