Richard B. Cheney a distinguished public servant and businessman is the vice president of the United States. Cheney was a well-known name on the Washington political scene. George W. Dick Cheney has served our country as chief of staff for a president. He was a member of his position in the United States Congress and [served] as secretary of defense. Cheney is of the opinion that his work as a member of his position in the Bush Administration will be to act as an open and discrete adviser. Cheney stated that, when he accepted the Republican nomination as vice president, he looked forward to being a part of a president who would work across the political aisle to achieve goals and will cooperate with opposition members in confidence. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. After 13 years of age, old, he moved along with his parents from Nebraska to Casper within the Western part of Wyoming in Wyoming, where his father directed the district for soil conservation in Casper for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
